Counseling

Counseling

The Dacula High School Counseling Department’s goal is to address the needs of all students with a focus on academics, career, and personal/social development under the guidelines of the ASCA national standards.

To make an appointment, students may complete a “Counseling Request” form. Your counselor will send a pass for you as soon as possible. Parents may call or email their student’s counselor to schedule an appointment or to discuss other issues. Additionally, the “Counselors’ Corner” table is staffed every day during lunch. Students can stop by during lunch to ask questions of the counselor on duty.

  • Academic Support

  • >Tutoring options at DHS

  • The four academic subjects have tutoring offered during lunch every day in the Learning Center. Students are allotted 26 minutes at lunch to attend tutoring on a voluntary basis. Teachers and peer leaders staff the Learning Center and tutoring rooms to answer student’s questions. Students who are failing a subject must attend the Learning Center every day during this 26 minute period at lunch. Teachers representing the four academic subjects are available to answer students’ questions. Your child's classroom teacher is usually available before and/or after school for tutoring. Before and after school tutoring times are available on individual teacher’s eclass page.
